Qué es

El compuesto. Origen, investigación y realidad regulatoria.

CJC-1295 is a synthetic analogue of growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH 1-29), developed by ConjuChem Biotechnologies in the mid-2000s. It is a tetrasubstituted form of GHRH(1-29) (Jetté et al., 2005). The name covers two chemically distinct forms.

A Phase II study in healthy adults (Teichman et al., 2006, J Clin Endocrinol Metab) reported that subcutaneous CJC-1295 with DAC produced sustained, dose-dependent increases in GH and IGF-I over several weeks. ConjuChem's Phase II programme in HIV-associated visceral adiposity (NCT00267527) was terminated in 2006 and development did not resume; the trials reviewed here did not evaluate body-composition or performance outcomes.

Neither form is approved as a medicine anywhere; both are sold research-use-only, and GHRH analogues are named on the WADA Prohibited List under S2, prohibited at all times for tested athletes. The DAC form carries a maleimidopropionyl linker that binds serum albumin, giving a reported half-life of 5.8–8.1 days (Teichman et al., 2006). The no-DAC form (Mod GRF 1-29) lacks the linker and is cleared far faster; we found no peer-reviewed half-life figure for it.

Preguntas frecuentes

Lo que más se pregunta.

Is CJC-1295 legal to buy?

It is sold research-use-only, for laboratory research rather than human use. Neither the DAC nor the no-DAC form is an approved medicine anywhere, and RUO labelling does not authorise personal administration.

What is the difference between CJC-1295 with DAC and without DAC?

The DAC form binds blood albumin and persisted for 5.8–8.1 days in the Phase II trial, giving sustained GH/IGF-1 elevation. The no-DAC form (Mod GRF 1-29) lacks that linker and is cleared far faster; we found no peer-reviewed half-life figure for it.

What should a CoA show for CJC-1295?

Confirm which form was tested: the DAC form carries an extra lysine-linker residue, so the two forms differ in mass and the LC-MS result must match the form named on the label. Then check HPLC purity, lot number and an independent lab name.
